Child Care
(birth through 5 years)
Each Sunday child care is available for children birth through 5 years. You may drop off your child(ren) before or during the 10 AM worship service. Our professional caregivers are Miss Juli and Miss Chloe. The child care room is located in the preschool wing.
Godly Play
(4 years through 5th grade)
Godly Play is a worship program offered each Sunday for children ages 4 through 5th grade. Children worship with their families in the sanctuary for the first 10 or 15 minutes, until “Time with the Younger Church,” which is a message geared for children, usually led by the Pastor. At the conclusion of that segment, the children are led to the Godly Play room, which is a sacred space created just for them.
During Godly Play, children worship using their senses. This program emphasizes mystery, wonder and awe, building on the natural sense of spirituality that children already possess. The children learn the stories of the Bible using well-crafted materials in a hands-on way. Exploration is done intentionally, quietly and in a slower pace. The children gain spiritual language and Bible knowledge that deepens their understanding of God.
Acolytes
Each Sunday as worship begins, an acolyte lights the Christ candle on the communion table. During the last hymn they extinguish the candle. Acolytes are sometimes asked to do other important tasks, such as carry in a Bible, or baptismal water. Children in fourth through sixth grade may serve as Acolytes if they desire.
