Serve The Community

The Mission & Outreach committee organizes & manages many of our outreach projects. We strive to bring hope to those with little hope, friendship to those in need, and blessings to others within our local, national, and international communities.

We reach out in primarily three ways:

  • ongoing hands-on mission activities

  • special offerings three times each year (to give online, click here)

  • ongoing financial support of organizations, representing a local to global reach

The Mission & Outreach Committee meets at 7:00 PM on the first Monday of each month in the Memorial Lounge, and we invite the community to join in our meetings.

  • Grace to Go

Each week a team of volunteers supports Grace to Go run by St. James Episcopal Church to prepare and package more than 100 healthy meals for distribution to anyone needing them. LPC is in charge of six of these weeks throughout the year.

    The 2026 dates are: January 25, February 22, March 29, May 31, July 26, & October 25.

  • Addressing Food Insecurity

Each month we collect groceries to help stock Loudoun Hunger Relief. In November, we conduct a major food drive for Thanksgiving.

  • FUELED (Formerly Backpack Buddies)

Two times a year we assist Loudoun Hunger Relief’s FUELED program by helping to assemble food bags which are distributed through schools across Loudoun County.

  • Keep Loudoun Beautiful

Each fall we partner with Keep Loudoun Beautiful to clean up a 6-mile stretch of the Potomac River using canoes.

  • Sully Elementary

We do seasonal drives for different items needed to aid local Sully Elementary school in Sterling, VA.

  • SPECIAL OFFERINGS

Each year, we support four annual PC(USA) offerings that support disaster recovery, provide food nationally and internationally for neighbors in need, and more.
